With such trying and uncertain times around us Vital Hockey has been in constant communication and taking direction from the Ontario Ministry of Health and the directives set forth regarding public gathering. We believe that while it is easy to get caught up in emotion and hysteria during times like this (empty toilet paper shelves), it is important to base decisions on the directives put forth by those that have access to concrete data on the issue. Up to this point the league’s and larger events like concerts have been shut down due to the forced close proximity of the audience and people in attendance. Our directives from both the Ministry of Health and the Vaughan Sports Village up until 7:00 PM last evening were that the rink would remain open for the safe conduct of our camp. At 9:30 PM last night I received a call that the rink has been asked to close its doors until further notice. Although we still have every intention of providing our service, with this news, as with most things, we are uncertain of the timeline and are awaiting further communication from the Vaughan Sports Village. While we will not be giving refunds you can rest assured that payments will be honoured and credited in full towards one of our many clinics and session opportunities throughout the calendar year.
We really thank everyone for their understanding and will be in communication with you as more information becomes available. Please stay safe and well.
