Our Beliefs:
- Athletes need the right environment in order to excel
- Athletes require immediate feedback in order to improve
- Instructors need to be concerned about the overall well- being of the atheltes they are working with.
- Knowledge of skill development, passion for the game and ability to teach effectively far outweighs the status of a “pro” playing career when it comes to developing young athletes.
- “What” you practice far outweighs “How often”!
- Parents are the foundation to a child’s hockey development
- Parents should always be well informed, realistic and up-to-date about their child’s progress as they mature throughout their playing experience.
Our Methodology:
- Class sizes are kept small in order to provide optimum conditions for improvement. While many schools market the instructor-to-student ratio, we understand the anxiety and confusion that arises from attempting to achieve maximum performance in a cluttered workplace.
- Classes are structured more like skill tutorials so that students can work at their own pace and instructors can provide immediate feedback to the student for optimal learning. Based on muscle memory and creating new motor programs for refined movement, a 1:3 work to rest ratio assures that stress and recovery periods during our classes resemble those that occur during games.
Our History:
Since 1994 Vital Hockey has provided quality instruction to players of all ages through our innovative skills systems that focus on weight transfer, development of stabilizers and extreme use of edges which make our skating systems come second to none!
With skill systems based on biomechanics and strict scientific principles of growth and development, we invite you to come experience the Vital Hockey Difference!
